I own a 1990 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4.0 liter 4x4. According to my local Jeep dealership, all recall repairs have been done on the Cherokee with my VIN. But there is still a problem with the brakes, they aren't getting any boost. A friend that used to be a mechanic told me that I may either have air in the brakes, or I may need a new Brake Booster solenoid. The vacuum canister next to the master cylinder is not shown in my Chilton guide, but it says on top of the canister to refer to service manual 2820134. I assume it covers all the added or removed components from the recall. But I have been unable to find it anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find the manual for cheap or free, or better yet, what is wrong with my jeep and how I can fix it?
