Specifically, I'd like to know what muppets are and where they come from. Was it ever explained or hinted at? Are muppets animals, or are they a unique form of life? Can muppets interbreed, or is each muppet a different species? Can muppets breed with humans?? (Some muppets appear very human-like.) Have muppets taken part in historical events, going back to WWII and even ancient Rome, or did they pop into existence in the 1970s? Any information along these lines would be helpful.
