I'm American and my fiance is Japanese. She's had a little stalker problem that is getting worse. I've ordered some mace pepper sprays to keep around the house and in her purse for when I'm not around.
It's mostly to just bide the time as I'm trying to find out where I can read about legal self-defense measures in Japan. I want her to have something to defend herself with, but I don't want her to get arrested for using it or just being in possession of the mace pepper spray, for example.
I've had no luck with googling it, so I'd apprecite it if anyone knows where I can get a good resource for this kind of information.
By the way, Japanese police are worthless. Changing your cell phone isn't the answer to everything, especially if the person works with you and knows where you live
