where can i find a good bike for $100 - $200?

i want to buy a bike but not a really good one just a simple one for riding to school and to friends houses but i dont want one that will break while im riding. I would rather a mountain bike but BMX's are alright also. where could i purchase a bike like this within the price range. i wont buy one off the internet aswell.
