where can i find a description of a magical creature?

im looking for a short description of a magical creature. the sort you would find in an old book about fairies or elf's, the sort that sounds quite magical as you read. that i could draw what they're describing. it can be self written or from a book, i don't mind as long as i know who wrote it because i have to write it beside the picture but i could write animus. please help
