Okay i have a 2001 ford focus shell but the engine is blown its not the one with the zetec motor but the SOHC????? split port. Now im trying to look for the same motor but one its impossible to find and two the zetec DOHC is alot cheaper to buy. I was wondering if the brackets are the same as on the regular motor i know i will have to change the ecu but what else will i need to change. ive changed alot of honda engines but never dealt with ford. if any one can help me that would be great

This is an odd one, because most of the time car-part.com will list some interchanges.
Just ask for the complete power-train. It does not appear to me that the transmissions interchange. Also get the mounts that are on the engine and transmission you are buying, the holes should line up with ones in the frame.
On the cv joints, check the part numbers and see if they are both the same.
Some of the Focus cars used Mazda engines, but not this one as far as I can tell.
