Where can I find a cheap lawyer in MD if it is to late to apply for Public

Defender? Need help asap? I received several charges for driving with a revoked license and have a court date in about a week. I have no income since I am a full time college student and with my license situation can't get around to get a job. I do have money saved up but with all my other expenses I won't be able to afford $1000 plus for a lawyer. I went into the public defenders office the other day and they turned me down since I didn't apply in 10 or more business days in advance. I am in need of representation and I don't know to go about getting a cheap lawyer or where to look. If anyone would know how I could do this then any help would be great. Thanks
