Where can I create a safe art work portfolio online?

I am a freelance photographer and illustrator. I have used Flickr and Photobucket and tested their integrity. Unfortunately, I found ways to steal photos from these websites. And when I try to secure or restrict them, people cannot view them at all without signing up for a membership. Where can I make a viewable AND safe portfolio online?
