Mercury is a liquid at room temperature. You can buy it in liquid form at any catalog company such as Aldrich. Mercury is TOXIC so you don't want to mess with it. Transport may be regulated.
To generate high pressure mercury (gaseous mercury), you will need a specialty high temperature furnace.
