R Rene New member Oct 25, 2010 #1 I know that the beef must be lean and that they must dry 90 gm of beef down to 30 gm in order to obtain 30 gm of 28 gm protein jerky. I know because I make my own, but I want to find out if it is cheaper to buy it already made. Thanks for the help.
