...assitance for treatment? My friend is a single father with a daughter who recently got diagnosed with precocious puberty she's 4. Not seemingly a dangerous condition but in order for this child to grow "normally" she's required to take a monthly injection that costs $1,900 per shot. He has health insurance but it only covers half and that's without counting the cost of having health insurance for the child. He's been flying to another country monthly just so that his daughter could get the shot for free but this option is running out due to lack of funds. Tap Pharmaceuticals denied his application for free medicine because he is not poor enough. He doesn't qualify for most assistance programs (including government programs) for the same reason. In the meantime he is on his way to being destitute as life savings are gone and he can barely afford their apartment and child care. Does anyone know where someone like him, can go to get help? There has to be an entity out there that can assist!
