Hey, thinkin of going on a treck around england and was wondering what places you are allowed to camp in besides campsites. Like are there any beaches or forests you can camp in for free?

Just were can you not camp really.

Dont have much money and campsite can be real dear.

Hitched my tipi up with some mates last summer down in some beach in newquey, noone cared but got the feeling it was illegal.

Figured id double check.

Oh n if you do get caught illegaly camping, is there a harsh fine? Would rather avoid one of those

Cheers ppl

Not on anyones private land.
Any public parks are fine I'd say... Just wake up early so people dont look at you twice =P

as far as i know as long as you have permission from the land owner you can camp anywhere, and as for a fine, i think if you were told to move and packed up and went, things would be fine, i think this may help :==> http://www.go4awalk.com/ask/wildcamping2.php
