I'm looking for simplified explanation of what's current in sports. I am an amateur at this but want to learn more. I've tried reading news articles about different sports but soon get overwhelmed and don't understand the jargon. I'd like to at least be able to hold a conversation with someone based on general knowledge. I already understand the concept of the game, it's trying to keep up with the latest games that I have the most problem with. Does this involve watching sports on TV like a fanatic? I hope not. Please help.
