Where and how to complain against a receptionist at my grandmother's doctor's office.?

All I got is: The receptionist just og toff the phone call and seem disgruntled. She was telling someone to take Tylenol pills and not aspirin. When she got off, she sighed and looked very upset and impatient.
I told her my grandmother's surname, she aske if she's been there before and my grandmother said no. So I turned to the receptionist and said no. She then said, "Okay" in a very sarcastic tone and said, "She has been here a gazillion times. Tell her that" while pointing towards my grandmother's direction. I told my grandmother that she has been there several times, thinking that telling her had some sort of purpose (paperwork?). But all she did was go on about her job -- no smiles, no friendliness, just plain impatience and rudeness. I'm sorry if he hates her job, I'm sorry she was having a bad day, I'm sorry she was frustrated with someone over the phone, but her embarrassing my grandmother like that was uncalled for and unnecessary.

After we saw the doctor she was more civil - not rude nor nice. I felt like she was being frustrated with her previous phone call and she poured it on us/my grandmother.

One thing I fear is: if we complain and nothing is done about it, will she screw up my grandmother's records?

What a bizarre suggestion.

First of all, what is to complain about? So she was bitchy, it happens. You want to do what, get her fired over it? I'm sure the doctor isn't going to fire a capable employee because she didn't smile!

Secondly, I assume this woman is a professional. To suggest she would do her job incorrectly (and possibly illegally) just because she gets a complaint, is insulting and (as I said) rather bizarre.

You need to chill out and realize that not everybody is going to treat you perfectly all the time, and it's not something to get upset about.
