The reason I ask this question is because I know it applies to hand guns but I had a lot of hunters tell me when it comes to shotguns or rifles for hunting no background check is done. That to me would make sense because I would find it very hard to believe that every single hunter and trap shooter in the country has a non felony record BUT with hand guns I can understand. Heck I know 2 people myself that have felonies on their records and they have an entire gun safe full of rifles and shotguns BUT no hand guns. I just wanted to confirm this from some of you guys out there, are the few hunters I spook with telling the truth, (no background check with a trap shooting gun?
