When you pre-order a game from GameStop when does it ship?

It depends on the typing of shipping you choose. If you choose to receive on release date, they ship 1-2 days before it released based on your location and will be at your front door on release date. But if you choose standard shipping you will get the game 3-5 business days after the release date.
 
I pre-ordered portal 2 a few days ago and would like to know if it ships a few days before the official release, meaning I get it the day of (or 1-2 days after)?
- Or do they ship it the day it's released and I wait 3-5 business days?

usually that means the day they start selling it, you will have your copy there and on reserve no one can get that copy. you have to pick it up from the store you pre-ordered it from that's how it worked when i did it
