When you have an upgrade with tmobile..?

when u have an upgrade with tmobile you can get phones for a pretty good deal.

but do you have to send them the phone you have?
i have a prepaid phone and i just put my sim in it and it works like a normal one.

would i have to send that back to them? i got it from walmart so would that workk?
 
NO. Once you buy a phone ITS YOURS, when you do an upgrade you're just buying ANOTHER phone. lol this is a silly question............
