Say you're in a big hurry. the restaurant is sort of busy. there's a table of ten people chatting next to you who also do not have food yet. your waitress asks you what you would like, you tell her you're in a bit of a hurry and you order a burger and fries 'cause it should come to you pretty quick right? well it takes 35 minutes for you to get your food... and your fries feel a little cold. your waitress apologizes for the wait due to your order getting stuck behind the big tables order... now you are going to be late for wherever you were going... what do you do? take it out on the waitress? what about the fries? what do you leave for a tip? who's fault is it?

Never take it out on the server! She's not the one that cooked it...she was probably wanting to get your food out to you asap, but again, she's not the one in the kitchen.

Ask for the manager, voice your concern, in a calm manner. The point is to improve service for the future, not to get angry at someone. Ask for new fries, it shouldn't take long. With any luck the manager may even comp your meal, but don't expect it.

Leave a tip, but the standard 15%

35 minutes is a long time, but not completely unreasonable. You're at a family restaurant, not fine dining.

First of all a burger is NOT a quick choice.I am sure they to cook it over med ...by law.so it will take at least 11 minutes for that.well done is more like 15 minutes.Depending on size and thickness.
a salad or chips and salsa or soup which is already prepared would have been faster..
it is NOT her fault its the kitchens.YOU for ordering that option there are other faster things..

Yes i would tip...
