Do you leave him/her in a kennel, free in the house, outside in a fenced yard, our outside on a chain?
I have 2 dogs one I can leave free in the house and the other I leave in a large kennel. Three days a week they are in the house with the a/c on for 8 hours with my husband coming home for an hour to let them out to go potty and to play with them. The other 4 days someone is home with them. Because of us not being home during the day, 3 days a week my neighbor is accusing us of abusing our dogs and if we don't leave them outside (where he says they can run around and be free) when we are not home he will report us for animal abuse. We leave our dogs inside for their safety (heat, getting out of our yard, neighbor kids like to run along the fence), inside where they are protected. I feel we are doing the best thing for our dogs by leaving them in the house and I just wanted to know how other people take care of their dogs when they are not home.
