When writing a book is there a rough conversion regarding page length?

Is there an accepted estimate of the page space of a standard novel that is occupied by a single spaced word document in a 10-12 sized font?

1 to 1? 1 to .5? or what.

How many pages, in general does it take to fill up a page of a novel with the word document I described?

Firstly, don't ever write you novel in 10pt font. Standard is 12 point. And it is ALWAYS double spaced.
How many pages of script it takes to fill up a page of the novel depends on the format of the novel, and the size of the pages.
Why not get a book from the library and count the words on one page? That way you'll have a direct frame of reference.

In 12 point type, 250 words w/ 1" margins all the way around is roughly 1 page.

Hope that's a workable conversion, b/c it doesn't sound like that's exactly what you're after . . . it should be close, though.
