She is 3, and started blowing her coat 2weeks ago aligned with her season (she came into heat yesterday) I used a rake to get rid of the dead fur and got 8 bags full! She still has a few patches but the fur isn't loose so not ready to come out. Since it's in line with her season she started blowing her coat whilst it's still very cold and winter. My question is, how long does it take to grow back? Will it grow back quickly and blow again after summer? Or will it stay as it is til next winter (which is like 8months away) also she is due to be spayed in June, will this affect it? It doesn't bother me when it grows back, I just understand that they usually blow twice a year n so didn't know whether it would stay as it is for 8months til winter or grow back n blow again in that time. her undercoat is almost completely gone with the exception of a part of her back and head but I've been noticing it's coming out there too now. Any advice would be great. I live in the uk so not expecting it to get majorly hot (if temperature affects it) but the temp hasn't affected it this time, the season did. But by net time she blows, she will be spayed.
