Normally I try to make appts in the early morning and I go with no make-up, but this time I had to make an appt in the late afternoon and I have to be out all day in public so I don't feel comfortable spending all day make-up free.

Ladies, do you ever go to the derm wearing make-up? I use mineral make-up that doesn't break me out and really just covers up the redness caused by the retin-a I'm using, so I'm pretty sure the derm can still get a good look at my skin even if I'm wearing it. Plus this is a follow up where he said he'd prescribe me some spironolactone, and in the lighting used in his office or even just getting really close up you can definitely see where I have some darker, coarser hairs, even with make-up on.

I don't think seeing the dermatologist while wearing a sparse amount of mineral foundation to cover the redness on my chin and cheeks will be a problem, but I'd love to hear from others who have had this experience.

Thanks!

My appts. are always in the afternoons, so I've always had makeup on when I've gone to the derm. He's never suggested I not wear makeup or to take it off when I've gotten there.

If it will be a problem, you can alway buy some face wipes to remove your makeup.

I don't think it will be a problem, the derm knows what he is looking for, even with makeup on. But usually I take wipes and remove my makeup and then put it back on again after!
