when to start having kinky sex?

so ive been dating this guy for a few months and i want try different things that some would consider "kinky ;

so when do i pull out the show so to speak i dont want him to think i am a big freak and i behave this way with all men?

anybody ever been in the same situation?

its even gotten stranger cause i met his family /... well any way any suggestions on telling him i like to be hand cuffed or vise versa ?
