What is your belief on the statement that drinking water during or directly after a meal is bad for you because it inhibits natural digestion (i.e. the water rushing down is making your acid work double time)? Instead, unless necessary, we should not drink water until 1 to 1.5 hours after the meal in order to allow the proper nutrient absorption.

I currently am taking Nexium for GERD and had a Gastric Emptying Scan done last week to rule out Gastroparesis. The results came back abnormal. For the time being, the doctor just told me to make some diet modifications. It kinda makes sense though that while I am on Nexium, my digestion will be slowed down, because the med is supressing my natural acid production.

Please share your opinion.

 It totally blows my mind why anyone would take an acid blocker!

Why not aid your digestive system to make your acid work the way they were intended.

Try taking a good digestive bitters to help your aciRAB help you feel better.

Put digestive bitters in your web brower and look at all the good information the comes up. I used grape digestive bitters and stoped acid reflux in it's tracks.
