I am currently working on fantasy piece, and there are a few races of people that I've created, but I'm torn as to whether the names of the races should be capitalized or not.
Let's say, that I have a race of elf (not capitalized), that are called "dart" (a random word, just using as an example). Now, would it be: "She was a Dart elf"? Or "She was a dart elf"?
The primary races in my world are humans, elves (which come with their own "tribes" or "races"), and a lizard-type race. It is for these elfin tribes and this lizard race that I don't know what should be capitalized and what shouldn't.
Any suggestions?
