I think a sawed off shotgun would be ideal for both stopping power and destructive potential, but I'm not sure.

We can never be too prepared, no?
 
Katana, Glock 20, FN SCAR MK17 w/ MK13. That's assuming you need to "kill" them through destruction of the brain. A shotgun has large, bulky ammo, a slow rate of fire, is inaccurate at longer distances, makes a lot of noise, and is overall inefficient. Bolt/lever action also good(with training).
 
Silenced sniper rifle + laser (helps the untrained to aim better)
shotgun has stopping power but makes a big bang no?

Urban area-- RRA AR15 with Trijicon ACOG T-33R-8. At least 5 mags loaded-up at all times. Back-up weapon Romanian AKM or pump shotgun.

Rural areas- CZ550 Varmint Kevlar .308 and backed up with Ar15 and M1 garand
