reservation system for tribes of people in America? How and who thought up the reservation system?
They didn't do that in India or Africa.
yes yun, i checked the wekepedia and found it was started in 1851

many accounts state that native americans would not be slaves - they ran away.

the reservation system worked for the early U.S. government as a way to confine tribes and expand settlements (and get access to natural resouces e.g. gold.

the U.S. was not populated like India; if you read James Micheners' book on the history of Africa, there are more parallels to the conqueror's control of population segments.

The Americans came up with that, not the British.

The British favored a system where they worked with the people they ruled. People may say they treated them unfairly, and that may be the case, but they didn't push them away as a group or try to confine them.
The British used native troops to maintain control in both India and Africa.

The Americans, mainly through experience, thought the Indians were too much of a problem to try and integrate. You can think whatever you want about that as well. They saw the various battles that took place with them and wanted to separate them out to avoid strife.
