When teaching younger students in K-8th grade: Is it better to separate each gender

with the opposite sex? At this age the opposite genders are usually shy to communicate with each other, so would it give them more focus if they are not with their same gender buddies? If you have research about this topic post it.
 
No. If you listen to all the "education speak" now a days, you will hear that same genders schools do better. yes, that may be true, but what you GAIN in education, you lose in social skills. GOOD GOD. Let's bring up a whole generation of "protected" children who can't relate to each other. That sounds WONDERFUL!!! *NOT*

Your idea would work in younger grades, but, the older they get, the harder it will be to do that.
 
When teaching younger students it is better if the teacher is able to write well in the English language. Ideally, the teacher should be able to formulate clear and unambiguous questions.
