When talking about positive subjects, Why do I get a "Lump in my throat"?

It seems to happen quite often to where I'm discussing a life changing story, or a something that I'm passionate about (in the ballpark of that nature), and I start to get the feeling in my throat. What gives me the feeling of my throat swelling up?

It is something both physiological and medical simultaneously?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
