...is larger than dimension? When taking hand luggage onboard a Ryanair flight, can I take a soft sports bag that is larger than dimensions but would "Squash" into it?

I'm travelling for a weekend so haven't chosen not to check any cases in and take my clothes etc as hand luggage but was not sure if the dimensions need to be about the same or if it can be bigger if it "Squashed" into the space as it wouldn't be full and would onyl contain soft clothes anyway

(And reason it wouldn't be full and I haven't bought a smaller bag is because I already have this bag which I use for gym/ UK trips etc so no "Buy a smaller bag if its half full" answers please.

If it'll fit in the 'sizer' it's fine.Dem's the rules.But this is Ryanair,they don't play by the rules.They'll go by the dimensions given on their site,so you might be snookered.

Wear all your clothes in layers and just have the shoes you're wearing on you.
Na wouldn't work.He'll get you with a fat tax.
