artists can *gulp*remake them? I heard that some of The Beatles will become public domain pretty soon, allot of people seem pretty happy about this for some reason but it worries me because it makes me think: Does this mean that 'musicians' can remake them (by which I mean use their lyrics and tunes in new songs)
I really hope not because I couldn't bare to see the terrible dance songs to the tune of Beatles songs that would soon come out, or the inevitable terrible rap 'musicians' ( I say musicians in the vaguest sense of the world) sampling melodies from them.
