When should I test for pregnancy?

I had unprotected sex the 18-28 of June and the 2nd-5th of July (husband was home on leave), period was due on the 9th of July- still nothing, it's now the 12th. Obviously I've missed or am at least late for my period, but is it this period I consider "missed" because it was so close to conception, or next period..I'm confused! when should I take a test? Thanks
 
If you have always been regular and this month yo are late I would say go ahead and get the test, it will be more accurate now
 
i would suggest that you take a test...
but be sure that you take the test correctly and do it first thing when you wake up,
the pregnancy hormone is most concentrated in the morning first thing when you pee; therefore the test is most accurate.

I would go ahead and take a test, since you were so close to conception, you should get an accurate reading.

And if you get a negative result, then see your doctor, and take a test there, their tests are more accurate.

But if you take a test now, you should get an accurate reading.
