When should i take the pregnancy test?

i last had sex on the 14th, 15th, and the 16th...i usually get my period around 22nd, 23rd.. but i havent gotten it yet...im gonna get the pregnancy test from a dollar store. so when should i take it?
Also, if i take it now and it comes out pregnant or not pregnant cud it be wrong cuz maybe i took it too soon?
 
well with most hpt's you can take them at anytime of the day..as early five days before your missed period..however since I don't know the brand of the one you are going to take..my advice would be to take it in the morning..hcg pregnancy hormones are higher first thing in the morning...also..false positive tests are rare..so if it says pregnant then you more than likely are..=) If it says negative and you feel prego..then wait two days and test again..hcg levels double every two days..good luck
 
I actually really like the dollar store pregancy tests, and keep a large stock of them in the house. They are usually as sensitive at the more expensive brands. Only draw back is they are not as user friendly or more messy, but well worth it when you consider the savings.

The dollar store carries several brands, so feel free to get a diversity (or shop different stores to get different ones). The soonest you should test is the first day of a missed period, but the longer you wait the more likely you are to get an accurate result. If you haven't gotten your period a week after and there is no positive test, maybe buy a more expensive store brand to see if that makes a difference. If its still negative but no period, schedule an appointment with your doctor.
