...vote be completely split? Imagine. You're watching CNN popping up figures on its crawlers indicating a three ring Republican race amongst Palin and two other strong candidates. Palin is polling in at 3rd but still a significant factor in splitting the Republicans and throwing the party's chances of claiming a shot into an indecisive future. For the past three years, Palin has been the "embodiment" of the Tea Party movement, a political breakthrough that put Palin on the map as the voice of angry conservatives everywhere. Anyone who dared criticized Palin were lashed out by her defenders as being "jealous of her success" "liberal witch-hunters" and of course the favorite "afraid of a woman in office." With her character being defended so vigorously, Palin was suddenly dropped in as a good name for the Republican ticket. Her defenders argue, this is Palin's moment to shine and any Republican who truly wishes to stay loyal should stick with Palin. Party strategists predict that with Palin into the picture, a likely rift will start between the independents and core Republicans who identified themselves as the Tea Partiers. Independents find Palin repulsive so in protest most of them have decided to stay at home during primary season. The Tea Partiers won't have it any other way, it was Palin who led them to the stage, gave them a voice and came to symbolize the change in the government that they wanted. The Party is then split such as it did in 1912. Could Palin actually do this?
