$500.00 is an average dealer price for that repair, but the glass does not have to be replaced, unless they broke it.
I have done hundreds of window regulators, most cost around $200.00. I installed one today in a Ford truck. The customer furnished the regulator (he paid $169.00 from Ford) cost to install was $50.00.
I have also never broken a glass!
