When people fish for a compliment.....?

I hate when people ask you on there opinions of something. Pople who insult everthing you have and say someonelse has something better blah bloah. What schould I do compliement back? I like to stay quiet cuz im not rude enough to insult is that normal. does anyone else do it.

you should definitely compliment them, or try to help them in their search for truth
sometimes, they are confused, too, and just need a little help
