i'm asking this because my grandfather had a stroke and he was alive in the hospital for about a month, then my grandmother decided to make it so he wasn't attached to anything so he would die by himself, he would have wanted it because he would be paralyzed. when he died he was awake with some of my family and he didn't take a noticeable breath, but i heard they are supposed to.
