...controversy...? ......says things like (I'm paraphrasing) "Saudi Arabia doesn't tolerate Christianity and wouldn't allow a church near Mecca, so why should the USA tolerate Islam near Ground Zero?", don't members of the GOP cringe and say "Why is Newt dragging America's standards and principles down to the same level of a backwardass country like Saudi Arabia, a country that doesn't even allow women to expose their face in public?" Where is the outrage of Newt condoning religious bigotry and suggesting that we the US of A follow suit with Saudi Arabia's intolerance?
So my question to all you on Y!A, do you agree with Newt and think that we should lower ourselves and be as intolerant as other countries OR do you believe that what makes America great is that we have higher standards of tolerance and that we should never let fear and hate change these principles of freedom?
