When my dog walks he limbs and whines what should i do to make him feel better?

Well he is an older dog so he might be suffering from arthritis. I would take him to the vet and get him on some anti inflammatory pain medication like Rimadyl , metacam or tramadol. If they rule out arthritis the vet will want to do radiographs to make sure nothing is wrong with the leg in question.

Definitely take him to the vet. He may have developed arthritis, especially at his age. Also he could have hurt his leg, or been stepped on it could be sore. He really does need to see a vet. If it is arthritis you want to catch it as soon as possible so you can begin treatment.
