...it happen in brutal ways? I am thinking about the part in Bless Me, Ultima when Tony and Florence are bullied by the others by questioning Christianity... Yet their forefathers were forced to convert to Christianity. They are supposed to dumbly accept what was forced on their kin, perhaps brutally, by conquistadors -- it is ironic that they are now being vengeful and spiting towards those who question the things that don't make sense about believing in God when the same things happened to those before them.
