when making a pyramid with sugar cubes do i fill it in.... with the cubes or...

like 10 base
and then 9, 8 and soo on

i read somewhere that you can just do it like that or you could fill it in

like the bottom would be 100 in stead of 40 10*10*10*10....

uhh please help lol
