when is slipknot releasing another cd?

dude vol3 was crap in comparison to iowa and s/t and since slipknot have taken this stupid "new direction" it blows so im not exited about new record at all oh and since they're on hiatus dont expect it too fast :]
 
i think i read on some slipknot fan site that they were going to try to go back to the older, harder music than vol.3

hopefully this rumor is true, though i did like vol.3 so that might not be saying much
 
I seriously doubt this is valid.

They did so many shows for the Vol 3 album...and I'm sure they'll be taking a much needed break.

And with Corey doing his Stone Sour thing...I dont see anything new from Slipknot coming anytime soon. I wont complain if it does though. As long as its not a Vol 4. They need to get back to their fucking roots this time.
 
I guess it could happen. I mean Vol 3 came out May 25, 2004. Artists (if thats what you wanna call them) tend to release albums every 2-3 years. Of course you got those banRAB who dont (ex: Tool) I'd figure if they were to release a city in the near future there would be more chatter about it from credited sources. If it is set for March of 07, they did a good job of keeping it on the down-low.
 
lol same here...i thought the shock value made it so cool. then i reallized the music is what trully mattered. now im more into shit like Soilwork and In Flames and stuff like that.

oh and i heard on the radio someone did an interview with corey taylor very recently and he said dont expect anything from Slipknot until 2008. He's gonna be doing some heavy touring with Stone Sour.
 
They announced '06 as a break, and I think from what I've heard, that mid-end of '07 they'll hit the studio again.

Of course like everyone else said, Corey is doing some hardcore Stone Sour stuff... so, you never know.
