magazines? Im currently looking at a Men's Health magazine and on the cover is the picture of a man with chiseled chest, six pack abs, and arms of steel. As my mind wandered i thought of the movie 300 and the way the movie portrayed them, basically looking the same way. However, other than perhaps that small period, when in the history of the world have the majority of the men ever looked like what they do in the fitness magazines? Did the romans legionaries all have six packs? I mean did the Knights of Medieval Europe look like that? Perhaps George Washington or General Robert E. Lee in his younger years? Do the majority of the soldiers in the worlds armies look like that? I use military examples because out of all men in the world, it would seem a solider would have the most reason to look as such, but my query isnt limited to the military field. Have men ever really looked like they do on the cover of fitness magazines? Or is this just a modern happening?
