do I make it stop? When I type "lol" on Facebook chat it comes up as a big laughing smiley face? How do I make it stop?
Whenever I type "lol" on Facebook chat it comes up as a big laughing smiley face and all my smiley faces are big and animated, my friends' faces are the normal small faces and they can type lol without it coming up as a face. How do I change mine?

I don't like these big animated faces I liked the small faces I used to be able to use.

Is it something to do with Firefox, or can I change it in my settings?
 
In firefox check your add-ins . I use Firefox and do not have this problem, so it must be one of your own addons which I do not have.

If you do not see anything there, check your Facebook Application Settings (Account - Application Settings) to see if your Facebook page is connected to some application which does this. The X at the far right will disconnect your page from any application.
