when i try to play a game, the gameux.dll was not found. wtf!?

can i download it from somewhere or something? i have vista if it matters. IT WORKED BEFORE SO DONT TELL ME TO "UPGRADE" XP. i have tried RegCure (the full version) and it didnt help. how can i fix this?
