nope wrong to the above two.. you have a bad vacuum line these lines rot out over the years, however they are easy to replace.. pop your hood find the little line most likely one of the 1/4" lines replace it..

just trace all of the little black lines from in intake, you'll find one that has a crack and is sucking air.. that would be the bad one.. i had a 96 s-10 4.3l and that happened to me before.. the brake booster rarely if ever goes bad
 
...engine idle slows.? For the past 3 days when i step on the brakes i have to push down hard for it to slow down, and while i pushin down on brakes i can hear a very noticable air noise. it dont sound like a deflating sound but sounds like a continuous air flow. then engine idle slows and a few times stalled out. So somehow pressing the brakes disrupts the engine.Any advice on where to look first?
