When I started my bike, the throttle did almost nothing and once made it DIE.?

Started the bike cold and the throttle had very little effect on revving the engine. Once I gave the throttle a bit of gas and the engine cut out!

But I decided to let the bike idle for 2 minutes, and everything worked perfect after that.

What the hell? The bike is carburated BTW.

On small engines (Motorcycle engines) the bikes idle and rev nicer when the engine is warm.
Be sure your choke is out until the engine is warm, and once it warms up, release the choke, and try it. It should work well.

If this simple procedure has no effect, clean your carburetor.
Buy a can of Carb Cleaner, Take the carb apart, spray everything down (exept for rubber pieces), wipe pieces, and put back together exactly the same.

After that, adjust your carburetor. Turn the fuel/air mixture screw. Right for less fuel, left for more.
Remember, an engine requires a certain fuel/air mixture. If too much fuel is added to the engine, the engine will bog out from being flooded.
More fuel is NOT better.
Just tweak the screw while the bike is running until you find the placement which works for you.

Hope this helps.
