when i sell my car, do i give the purchasing party my tag?

for the first time i am selling a vehicle to a private party. it is registered and titled to me, tagged and insured.
so when they come and give me the cash for the car, i sign the title over to them, then what? do i let them take the tag? any other things i should know or be thinking about?
sorry, forgot about that.
i live in South carolina and that is where the sale will happen
