Hello everyone. I've recently purchased a Canon EOS Rebel XS. When I open the pictures in GIMP, the color of the pictures is noticeably less vivid than when I view the images in iPhoto, regardless of whether I choose to keep the embedded color profile or "convert the image to the RGB working space (sRGB IEC61966-2.1)".
Is there some way to remedy this? Or is Gimp just displaying the photos accurately, and iPhoto is over-saturating the photos to make them look more attractive to most people?
I'm using a macbook, Gimp 2.6, and the photos are jpegs.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
