blank and not water? Normally I set my spectrophotometer to zero using distilled water only. However, with this experiment, measuring total bilirubin levels, I used hydrochloric acid+the bilirubin sample as a blank and then subtracted this from the results obtained from reading bilirubin sample+diazo reagent!

Is there reasoning behind this?

Thanks!
